Competing against many other cash-for-home marketplace, we wanted 800CashToday to stand out in the best way possible: by staying simple. We conducted competitor research and found that many of its competitors relied on loud graphics and illustrations. Through user research, we knew that the target customer wanted to feel trust when it came to dealing with selling and buying their homes. We kept this at the center of our design focusing on simplicity, easy-to-follow content structure, and illustrations to offset what could feel like lengthy information.

As many of us have filled in fields with our personal information online — it can definitely feel more like a chore and a cumbersome process. We wanted to make this step as seamless and intuitive as possible for our lead customers who were submitting their information on 800CashToday. We did this by breaking up the fields into categories and designed a progress bar to gamify what is a typically mundane step to assist the customer to completion and conversion for the busines

With most browsers spending less than 7 seconds on a site before bouncing, we created multiple sections and subsections of a page to keep the reading of the site easy to navigate despite its heavy content. We utilized accompanying icons, illustrations, and toggle systems to make it easy and enjoyable for the reader to journey down the page.
