Focused on users' main day-to-day objectives, Oak Theory designed Eigen Sense's first-ever SaaS platform to provide concurrent real-time monitoring of an entire network, with an optimal workflow for alert detection and user action.

The founders seemed to take a personal interest in the project. The team was very motivated and...good product intuition. And, it was a fun experience to work on the project with Oak Theory!
As a new and one-of-a-kind product in its market, Eigen Sense had no precedent to follow. We focused on prioritizing the primary features for the first version — the capabilities energy teams need day to day to monitor a network and act on alerts. The goal was to get a functional MVP to market quickly, then iterate the product based on real user feedback rather than assumptions.
For the platform to be effective, it had to be genuinely useful to the end user. Through user journey mapping and personas, we identified target users' pain points, priorities, and core KPIs — the day-to-day objectives that define whether monitoring software actually helps or just adds noise. Those insights directly informed how we designed the platform's workflows and information hierarchy.
With both business requirements and end-user needs in hand, we mapped out clear scenarios for finding, changing, and updating information within the system — prioritizing ease of use at every step. The wireframes established structure and flow before any visual design decisions were made, so the experience could be validated against real workflows early.
Because most of the system consists of tables and charts, the new UI is built on minimalist forms, clean icons, and modern fonts that keep data legible at a glance. We chose a fresh, cool color palette — blue and green accent hues associated with technology and energy — to reinforce the product's category and purpose without distracting from the information on screen.
